SUCLAB Polypropylene Perchloric Acid Fume Hood with Fume Scrubber System is a fume hood designed with an inorganic waste gas treatment function. Its spray scrubbing system is designed at the top of the fume hood. The system includes the fume hood body, fan, damper, a purification device connected to the VAV (CAV) system and the fan, a spray system connected to the purification device, and a duct connected to the spray system for exhausting the treated air outdoors. This ensures that the exhausted waste gas meets environmental protection requirements. The spray device contains spray components and packing material located directly below the spray components. The inorganic waste gas to be treated undergoes thorough contact and reaction with the liquid from the spray components as it passes through the packing material. The spray liquid used in the spray components varies depending on the different inorganic hazardous substances handled in the fume hood, using either acidic or alkaline spray liquid, or water. By adding reactive substances to the fume hood's exhaust, the treatment process becomes more efficient and convenient, while also significantly reducing construction costs for piping and other components. Advantages of Polypropylene Perchloric Acid Fume Hood with Fume Scrubber System :

Ordinary fume hoods: The internal materials (such as powder-coated steel plates) and pipes (such as PVC, PP) may not be able to withstand strong acid or alkali corrosion for extended periods. Fume hoods with built-in water scrubbing devices: Their core components (such as liners, baffles, and water tanks) are made of polypropylene (PP), a corrosion-resistant material. The water scrubbing device, water pump, pipes, water tank, and spray nozzles are resistant to strong corrosion and strong acids and alkalis.
High-efficiency removal: The water scrubbing device is a small acid/alkali mist scrubbing tower. Its working principle is to dissolve the acidic and alkaline substances in the waste gas into water through a neutralization reaction.
For acidic waste gases, sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is added to the circulating water as a neutralizing agent.
For alkaline waste gases, sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) or hydrochloric acid (HCl) is added to the circulating water as a neutralizing agent.
Source treatment: The waste gas at the fume hood outlet is treated by water scrubbing before being discharged, ensuring that it meets emission standards before being released into the atmosphere.

 The Working Principles of Polypropylene Perchloric Acid Fume Hood with Fume Scrubber System :


Waste Gas Capture: Corrosive waste gases from the fume hood are drawn in.
Entry into the Scrubber Tower: The waste gases are directed to a wet scrubbing device (small scrubber tower) integrated above or behind the fume hood.
Gas-Liquid Contact: A circulating pump pumps a neutralizing solution (such as dilute alkali solution) to the top of the tower, where it is sprayed downwards through nozzles, forming a water curtain. The waste gas flows from bottom to top, making full contact with the solution.
Neutralization Reaction: Acidic/alkaline substances in the waste gas react chemically with the solution and are neutralized into harmless salts dissolved in water (e.g., HCl + NaOH → NaCl + H₂O).
Gas-Liquid Separation: The purified gas passes through a demister layer to remove entrained water, and then the relatively clean gas is discharged into external pipes or the atmosphere by a fan.
Circulation and Discharge: The neutralizing solution is circulated and reused, with the pH value regularly monitored and reagents replenished. When the salt concentration in the water reaches a certain level, it needs to be treated as waste liquid by a professional servic
